St. Francis Pet Blessing

October 4th is the Feast of St. Francis.  Francis is one of the best-known and well-loved saints, and is the patron saint of animals and ecology. Because of this, there is a tradition of blessing animals and pets on or around his feast day.

So, this past Sunday, Rev. Cameron hung out in the parking lot for a drop-in pet blessing. About a half-dozen of God’s furry creations came by (with their humans) for a blessing. Rev. Cameron didn’t forget the memorial garden fish – they got their own special visit and blessing!
