  the Divine Anglican Church\, Squamish\nSt. John the Divine is seeking a p
 art-time Children\, Youth\, and Family (CYF) Ministry Worker for up to 40 
 hours a month. Hours/days may be flexible\, with some work-from-home hours
  possible. Responsibilities will include supporting and enhancing current 
 St. John’s ministries with children\, youth and families (Tot Time\, Fam
 ily Feasts\, Sunday mornings)\, as well as supporting St. John’s in the 
 next steps in this area. Training will be provided (Vancouver School of Th
 eology Children and Youth Certificate and/or other).\nCompensation: $25 pe
 r hour.\nSkills Required: \n\nExcellent organizational skills\nProficient 
 communication skills\nAbility to work independently as well as collaborati
 vely\nAbility to work well with people of all ages\, especially children a
 nd youth from a variety of different backgrounds and abilities.\nAbility a
 nd skill to assess needs as they arise and to create a safe space for all.
 \n\nJob Requirements:\n\nCertificate or equivalent experience in education
 \, child/youth development or childcare.\nExperience coordinating and work
 ing with volunteers is an asset\nExperience working with children\, youth\
 , and families in a church setting is an asset\nTraining or willingness to
  be trained in working with Christian curricula for children.\nWillingness
  to undergo screening requirements (Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable 
 Sector and online Safeguarding training modules).\nFirst Aid Level C with 
 CPR\nASSIST\, Food Safe or other relevant trainings an asset.\n\nPersonal 
 attributes:\n\nApproachable with a keen interest in creating safe spaces a
 nd community for children\, youth\, and families\nComfortable working in a
  church and faith-based environment\nProactive and self-motivated\n\nOverv
 iew of Responsibilities:\nSt. John the Divine is a thriving all-age church
  in the heart of Garibaldi Highlands. St. John’s actively supports and f
 acilitates outreach initiatives with children\, youth and their families i
 n the local community. Through this CYF position the parish hopes to conti
 nue its growing CYF ministry and expand to meet the needs of the congregat
 ion and wider community in “Sea to Sky Country.” Below is an average m
 onth’s expectations and responsibilities\, at 40 hrs per month\, with so
 me pieces being flexible/negotiable based on the availability and skills o
 f the successful applicant\, as well as the needs of the St. John’s comm
 unity. Hours provided are approximate.\n\nOversee\, and facilitate St. Joh
 n’s existing children and family ministries:\n\n \n\nTot Time\n\nA week
 ly\, free drop-in play group for infants and toddlers with their caregiver
 s. This program currently runs on Tuesday mornings from 10 am to 12 pm. At
 tend &amp\; assist three times a month with set up and clean up time (Appr
 ox 9 hours per month).\n\n\n\n\nFamily Feast\n\nA monthly gathering for fa
 milies with children\, that includes a meal\, Bible story\, songs\, activi
 ties and a craft. (Approx 4 hours per month).\n\n\n\n\nSunday Mornings\n\n
 John’s weekly service is on Sundays at 10 am. Currently\, there is a chi
 ldren’s time as part of the service\, a corner in the sanctuary with col
 ouring sheets\, pew activity bags\, as well as a playroom. Sunday mornings
  might include some programming\, childcare\, or simply helping children\,
  youth and families feel comfortable and participate in the service. Four 
 times a month (Approx 10 hours per month).\n\n\n\n\nConduct administrative
  tasks\, including planning and preparing for events\, drop-ins and servic
 es\, coordinating and scheduling volunteers\, and maintaining spaces and m
 aterials as needed (Approx 9 hours per month).\nIn collaboration with the 
 Priest-in-Charge and the St. John’s community\, develop and implement ne
 w children\, youth\, and family ministries. These will be developed consid
 ering the skills of the successful applicant and the needs identified in t
 he St. John’s and the wider community. This might include a youth group\
 , participation in regional youth programs\, a day camp\, or a program for
  parents as needed. (Approx 8 hours per month).\nUndergo training and prof
 essional development as required. The tuition for a Children and Youth Cer
 tificate at the Vancouver School of Theology\, First Aid Certification or 
 other necessary trainings or similar programs will be paid by St. John the
