Meetings and in person gatherings are currently suspended. This group will be getting back together when we can have gatherings again.
O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! (Psalm 95:1)
Every Wednesday night from 5.30pm to 7.00pm a group of musicians of all levels and abilities gathers at St. John’s to make a ‘joyful noise’ together. Most of the songs played come from the hymn book used at St. John’s – Common Praise. The first half of the time is usually spent moving more slowly through a couple of hymns, learning them especially for beginner ukulele-players. The second half of the night usually becomes a more let-loose jam time. While mostly ukuleles, all instruments and voices are invited and welcome to come to this fun, playful, and Spirit-filled time of music-making in a non-judgemental and supportive environment. All are welcome to drop-in and listen, or join in the music! Some simple percussion instruments are available at the church.
