OPENING HYMN:  All Creatures of our God and King - Darryl Augustine

I like how accessible this hymn is for all ages.  It’s so descriptive of everything around us.  There is also something very comforting about the sixth verse and how it speaks of death.  To me, it brings hope.

GRADUAL HYMN: Bless the Lord, my Soul - Rita Carey

This brings back memories of my late sister-in-law Wendy, who led Taize services on Thursday mornings for many years.

OFFERTORY HYMN: She Comes Sailing on the Wind - Karen Bumpton

This is one of my favourites & I know Sara Jane's as well.  I love the imagery it uses.

COMMUNION ANTHEM: Water to Wine - Madelyn Augustine

I love this hymn so much.  I have only heard it during Communion.  It feels so calming & peaceful.  The song is so beautiful and angelic, and having heard it during Communion makes it extra special for me.

CLOSING HYMN: You are the Salt of the Earth - Norma Lawton

This hymn reminds me that I have a responsibility to work and bring about God's Kingdom on this earth, which he has created for me/us to enjoy. Just as salt flavours our food to make it better, I must show mercy, peace and justice to enhance the Christian life for myself and others.  It is part of our journey as children of God.
